Friends of the Villa Park Library (FOVPL) is a 501(C) 3 corporation that supports the Villa Park Library, a branch of OC Public Libraries, through donations, volunteer work, public awareness campaigns and appreciation for the Villa Park Library and the resources and programs it provides to our community. FOVPL was founded in 1995 when the Library was threatened with closure as a result of the County of Orange bankrupcy.

FOVPL raises money through donations and fundraiser programs such as book-signing events at Villa Park homes or nearby venues and the sale of second-hand books within the Library.

Donations support reading programs, author events at the Library and monthly activities for adults, school-aged children and families with young children.

Membership in FOVPL is available to residents of Villa Park and surrounding communities for a yearly fee of $20 (payable each December) and it provides members priority communication of FOVPL sponsored events and elegibility to serve on FOVPL’s Board.

FOVPL meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at 6 pm in the Villa Park Civic Center next door to the Library. The meetings are open to the public.
